The new version of the CX-Engine brings many innovations! Many changes have occurred in the background, laying the foundation for new features. However, a lot has also changed on the surface! We have summarized the most important changes for you here.
Configuration now even more dynamic!
You can now mark a field in a preset as an 'Ask during deployment' field. If you activate a field for this, the CX-Engine will ask you during the deployment of the preset what value it should use for the respective switch. This allows you to assign a unique value to each switch without having to create multiple presets!
New device type: DMX-Node
There is a new device type: the DMX-Node! This has laid the foundation for adding more device types. The first device we have added is the Swisson XND-8, which you can now configure!
New device type: DMX-Router
There is a new device type: the DMX-Router! Example: The LumiCore from Luminex! With this, you can create a clean end signal from various signals. This ensures that you always have a clean signal and can connect guest or house lights cleanly and efficiently. The CX-Engine now takes care of the configuration!
New configuration management!
From now on, you can directly query and view your device's configuration from the device menu in the inventory. So, the next time you add a device to the inventory, you can also directly test the connection and view the current configuration. Very helpful when working in a highly dynamic environment.
